ALI PAGAN WILLIAMS

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to re-connect with your whole self (body included!) as well as your strengths, and to process through emotions and experiences that feel challenging to face and sort through on your own. I believe that all behavior has a function, meaning it has a purpose and source, and that our earliest attachments and experiences shape us today.

As a multiracial person of color myself, my racial identity is a lense thru which I see the work and how I show up in the therapeutic space. I use an integrative therapy model, combining various therapeutic tools and approaches to best meet your needs. I have a special interest in processing through grief for those who have experienced loss of any kind. I utilize calm, reflective listening, somatic awareness, social justice and systems focus, and a strengths-based approach. My focus is on women and gender non conforming people of color, grief, somatic awareness, multiracial and multicultural identity, family of origin issues, complex, intergenerational, and religious trauma, self esteem, attachment, relationships, and life transitions.

“Healing is not linear; grief has no deadline; you are not broken; your ancestors have carried you through anxiety and worry; your body remembers and it is possible to feel that way again.”
